Where are the sewage treatment facilities in your community? 

 The 3 sewage treatment facilities in my community are:

 1-Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant- 6.9 miles away
2-City of Galt Wastewater Treatment Plant- 12.8 miles away
3- Pleasant Grove Waste Water Treatment Plant- 21.0 miles away

    Very similar to the sewage facilities in my area! The closets one to me is about 7 miles from where I live.

    Hi Claudia,

    Reading your post I realize that I only identified one major sewage facility in my city. Now that I've seen how many are in your surrounding community, I'd be interested in learning if there are more than one in mine. However, I'm glad to see that we are working towards environmentally safe ways to recycle water in order to keep using it within our communities and across our daily activities.

The primary pneumoconioses are asbestosis, silicosis, and coal workers’ pneumoconiosis (commonly referred to as CWP or black lung). As their names imply, they are caused by inhalation of  asbestos fibers,   silica dust , and coal mine dust. Typically, these three diseases take many years to develop and be manifested, although in some cases – silicosis, particularly – rapidly progressive forms can occur after only short periods of intense exposure. When severe, the diseases often lead to lung impairment, disability, and premature death. From a public health perspective, these conditions are entirely man-made, and can be avoided through appropriate dust control (CDC, 2017).
